Background
Before joining Buckingham Psychiatry, Dr. Sophie Buinewicz was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, where she provided psychotherapy, supervised psychiatry residents and doctoral student clinicians, provided expert consultations, and trained clinicians around the country and the world in evidence-based treatments. Dr. Buinewicz has a strong clinical and research background in anxiety-based disorders and exposure-based therapies and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters on these topics.
